Stupid question about ham
I made a chicken dish last night that had deli ham in it. The ham was cooked with the chicken the whole time, so I'm assuming that was OK to eat. But now I brought leftovers with me to work for lunch, but the microwave isn't working... so i cant heat it up. Is it OK to eat it cold since I originally cooked it.... or does it now carry the same risk as unheated deli meats and need to be heated again?
I know i'm over-thinking this, but better safe than sorry

Re: Stupid question about ham
you should be fine, i wouldn't worry. but i have also eaten deli meats throughout this entire pregnancy w/ no issue.. my doc told me it was ok as long as it wasn't slimy/old.

Re: Stupid question about ham
I think it's fine since it was heated originally so any listeria would have been killed. It's heated just to kill off any potential bacteria from the slicers.
