good question, I wonder the same thing. I was thinking baby doesn't actually touch the bumper (since it has to be taken out once they can roll) so maybe not? we'll see what others say

And again...I never took my bumper out. DS is 17 months and has always had them in.

Me too! DS likes to curl up in the corner of his crib and use it as a pillow.

I did wash the bumpers b/f putting them in - I also wash them now. DS is 13 mos and I still have them in.

Re: Stupid question about washing bedding

DS always had his bumpers in. Otherwise he would ram his head into the bars, he rolls around so much. we never washed them....

I washed them before putting them in and now I wash them every so often. DS ends up rolling around and sleeping close to them some nights so I wash them.

I never washed the bumpers, but I just kept them in the crib for show when my DS was in his bassinet. As soon as I put him in the crib at 3.5 months I took the bumpers out.

Re: Stupid question about washing bedding

The only thing I washed were the sheets. After she vomited on the bumper, I washed that. I'm not neurotic though and never wash her clothes before she wears them, etc. Never had a problem Chat Icon

Re: Stupid question about washing bedding

I've never washed Marron's. They have lots of lace and detail that I never wanted to ruin. I just shake them out when I change her sheets.
