Stupid Question- How do you refinance?
I know this is probably a dumb question, but how do you refinance... do I just call up my mortgage company and ask? Do you "shop around" and call a few places? Any specific questions that we should be asking? Do you have to qualify for it, or can anyone refinance?

You can call up your current bank, and also shop around. You want to know what interest rate they'll offer you, how long they'll lock in the rate, an estimate of closing costs, application fees...
In order to 'qualify' you'll need an appraisal - which the lender will arrange. As long as the house appraises for enough, and you can afford the payments, you should be all set.
