I was also nauseous from the start but only threw up a handful of times. Now at almost 13 weeks, I threw up a few days ago and am still nauseous but its def better. I make sure to keep hydrated, eat something even if its tiny before waking up and snack throughout day - bananas, almonds, apples, etc.

Hang in there - it does get better! Chat Icon

Stupiest question of the day: How long did your morning sickness last?

It lasted till 14 weeks for me with both pregnancies. It was horrible. I drank a ton of ginger ale and didn't eat the best diet during that time

Of course every woman and every pregnancy is different, but I had mild morning sickness with my first two, and much worse with this pregnancy (though I never threw up with any of them). But with all 3, literally it was like the day I hit the 2nd trimester, it was gone. I think that is the case with most, just from women I've heard from, but not all. Hope it ends quickly for you! ETA: What helped me the most was to make sure my stomach was never empty. I kept small snacks in my nightstand drawer (crackers, cheerios, pregnancy bars, etc.) and would eat a little something before even getting out of bed in the AM. Throughout the day, I would have small snack a couple times between meals to make sure my stomach never got to empty, because that's when the nausea would hit. Also Preggie Pop drops worked great for me to take that edge off the sickness.

bagels were and still are my BFF's LOL
its actually my fav food overall (with lox, oh man do I miss lox!Chat Icon )

my MS lasted from day I turned 6w and until abt 13w-14w. the worst of it was from 8w to abt 12w. thankfully I didn't throw up at all, but would have the worst reaction to any strong smell. esp to any ethnic food, basically anything NOT a bagel LOL

I was nauseous from day 1 until about 9 weeks, never threw up, though. Once the 9 week mark hit, the nausea went away and was replaced by extreme hunger and exhaustion. I don't know which phase was worse. I'll be 13 weeks on Friday, and aside from my bump (baby #2) I forget that I'm pregnant half the time.

With DS it lasted about 12-13 weeks and then was just gone one morning and I felt great. With this pregnancy with DD it lasted until like 17 weeks and deff didn't just disappear but more tapered off. I could only eat carbs, and forget about healthy options! The fattier the better! Chat Icon

Stupiest question of the day: How long did your morning sickness last?

Mine last until about 13 weeks- I was nauseous all day long but never vomited. What worked best for me was eating carbohydrates and protein together as recommend by my RE. I did have a perscription for zofran that I occasionally used. Sea bands offered some relief but it was a tough time for me.

Stupiest question of the day: How long did your morning sickness last?

I was sick every day until 14 weeks. It went away for a while and then came back (though not nearly as bad) in the 3rd trimester.

Stupiest question of the day: How long did your morning sickness last?

I think I might ask for a zofran prescription at my first appt just to carry it with me if I need it

Re: Stupiest question of the day: How long did your morning sickness last?

Don't hate me, but I'm 29 weeks and have yet to go one week where I haven't had MS.

My first trimester was a nightmare - literally yakking non-stop (6-7 times a day). I tried everything: saltines, preggo-pops, unisom, B12, etc. It wasn't until I couldn't even keep water down that the doctor prescribed Zofran.

Zofran didn't take it away completely but it HELPED dramatically. Went from the 6-7 times a day to 1-2 times a day and helped with the nausea so that I can hold in some form of hydration.

Second trimester, I didn't rely on the Zofran as much (one/two time a week when I needed it) - and it did get better.

Second trimester, no Zofran, but the MS is still there, and I get sick one time a week.

At this point, I know the MS will stop when they're here!

If the bagels help, I say eat them! I ate tons of carbs my first trimester and put on 11 lbs cause it was the only thing that satisfied me. My second trimester I craved salads and only put on 4 lbs so I like to say I evened out.

Re: Stupiest question of the day: How long did your morning sickness last?

Carbs, carbs and more carbs. It is the only thing that really quells the nausea for me. I've pretty much lived on bagels for breakfast for the past 3 months! Not the healthiest thing, but it's better than sitting at work wondering if I'm going to be sick!

Stupiest question of the day: How long did your morning sickness last?

Currently 7 weeks and nauseous from day 1. Knock on wood haven't thrown up yet, but sometimes it makes me gag. I have it in the morning and at night. Crackers, cheerios and carbs help. I tried the pops but after I finish it I feel sick again. Concerned I may gain a lot of weight because carbs are the only thing that helps.
