Sub and TA pay

What is the pay for Subs, TA's and Leave Replacements on LI? I am sure it varies by school district but just trying to get an idea.

One district I was in I got about 22,000 and I had benefits. This was with a Bachelors degree.


Another district I got about 12,000 with benefits with a Masters degree AND teaching experience!

Sub pay I have been paid as much as $100 per day and as low as $70 but that was about8 years ago.

I think my SD pays $95 per diem and it's not a lot, from what I hear.

LR - most SDs will have you per diem for the first 30 or 45 days (with NO absence) and then put you on step 1 with your correct education. You usually get retro pay too.

I was a TA in Nassau for two years. Pay was around 22. I was able to contribute to TRS, and a 403B and had full benefits.

My understanding is that LI schools pay very low for subs compared to NYC that pays 150 a day.

My school district..sub pay is per diem. Starts out in the low $100 range (sorry dont remember exactly) after the first consecutive 30 days it goes up to $210.
