Suede shoes/boots on the beach? What about leather jackets? For holiday pics...
Our holiday pics will be on the beach and I was originally planning on wearing my suede wedge boots and have DS wear his FUggs which are black suede. DS is not walking, but I'm guessing he may be on the sand at some point.
Our photographer ( ) said it should be fine, but I'm just worried about both the heel (they're a 3" or so wedge) and the suede. They're my favorite boots so I really don't want to ruin them. And DS's FUggs are brand new and meant for the whole winter so I don't want those ruined either.
Second - will leather jackets/coats look silly on the beach? I wanted DS to wear this coat that has leather sleeves and then have DH wear his leather to kinda coordinate. On the beach, for winter/holiday pics, will this look silly?
Then last - um do those FUggs work with that jacket for DS? lol. I'm not sure what other shoes he could wear if they don't.

hmm, I don't know. I can't really imagine boots & leather jacket in beach pics. I would think that chunky sweaters might look better with a beach setting.

Thanks, that's what I originally thought, but but I'm thinking it's November, it's already really cold out most days, plus add the beach and it feels colder. I don't think DS would be ok with just a chunky sweater, even if I layer it, KWIM?
Any other ideas?

ITA about the leather....
Do you know how long you'll be taking the pictures?
I think you can layer really well with the chunky sweater. short sleeve onesie, long sleeve tee, then sweater... and it might be okay. you can bring a jacket too and put it on over for times when he's not taking pictures.
what about a little pea-coat type jacket for him?

I honestly didn't want to buy him another coat since he really wouldn't wear it except for pics.
I was planning to layer, but thought a coat would make it warmer. I mean if DH and I are wearing a coat, then I don't really expect DS to just be layered and no coat, KWIM? I have to wear a coat since I'm planning on wearing a dress.

Uggs are gong to be fine. No leather jacket. It doesn't match, if you know what I mean. I would do a chunky sweater and layers.
As for your shoes-put them on right before the pics are taken. See if you can take the pics on a blanket or even a piece of clear tarp or something. But I would not walk all over the sand with them. If worst comes to worst, you just put them on for the 3 minutes pictures take, I would not be too concerned. Also, do you know for a fact that your feet will be in the shot? For our Friday session, they were not, but maybe tomorrow.
