SUFFOLK COUNTY TOWNS & SCHOOLS

I live in Nassau County now and don't know too much about Suffolk County Towns.

What are some of the better areas and better school districts.

TIA

Suffolk is a large county. What areas are you looking for?
ie
eastern/western
what's your price range
commuting
etc

Re: SUFFOLK COUNTY TOWNS & SCHOOLS

We are probably looking at Western Suffolk right now. We are looking to flip it and my DH is doing most of the work so he doesn't want to commute too far after his normal day job.

Thanks,

well if you are looking for a flip, what's your budget? Budget is a huge factor because even in Western Suffolk there are expensive areas and cheaper areas. These are the townships in Western Suffolk (these are townships!!)

Huntington
Babylon
Smithtown
Islip

All have nice sections and not so nice sections (except for Smithtown where its generally all a nice section)

In western Suffolk I think Commack and East Northport are excellent areas with excellent schools. Of course, I live in Commack so I'm not as objective.

West Islip is a bit more pricey but has good schools.

I think West Babylon is an overall nice town with decent schools too.

I grew up in Smithtown, so if you have any questions FM me-and my parents recently sold their house there- so I can give you an idea of what it went for

town over ...Hauppauge is a good place too- No "bad" parts- but there is a nicer part

If looking for a flip, Babylon Village could be a good suggestion because of it being convienient for NYC commuters. South of Montauk is a very desiarable area.
However, I live in East Islip & love it hereChat Icon

DH and I just bought our house in Amity Harbor. We LOVE the area. It is Amityville zip and Copiague schools. It is south of Montauk Hwy and 1/2 block from the beach/park Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
