I take Misty to Southhaven in Yaphank. While it's not a true dogpark, you can walk on the trails with the dog and I usually let her off the leash unless I see someone else on the trails.
There is also Blydenburgh in Smithtown - same deal.

Both of these parks are supposed to have off leash dog run areas within the next year.

If you are looking for a dog run there is one in West Hills in Huntington and Gardiner's Park (the beach area) in Bayshore.
