as for places... I'm thinking Elwood Park in East Northport/Greenlawn/Huntington-whatever town they consider that. They have a decent playground for kids and the picnic area is HUGE. There is even shelter should it rain.
I'll look into if we need a permit or anything.

Hecksher in Huntington has a big play area too with tables.

Elwood park is a great idea. Not because I live down the road from it, but because it has lots of picnic tables, a nice playground and lots of space to gtg 
ETA: we need a permit if it's over 50 I believe... I had been looking into doing DS's party there.
Please don't make it on sat 9/18 that is Yom Kippur

If I am in NY in Sept, I will definitely come. Can't do 9/18 even if I am here because of the Jewish holidays
