?/Suggestions from Moms with Kids in School/Preschool etc...

Gavin brings home an art project every day he is in school (2 days a week) and I am so LOVING IT!!!! Chat Icon

Moms, I need ideas to display his art work. I want to out a huge cork board in the playroom where he spends most of this time and display it.

Phil is worried about the thumb tacks and push pins, which I am too. I just think if we put it high enough he would get at it.

Any suggestions or ideas ladies?

I tape Ale's artwork all over - on kitchen cabinets (inside and out), walls, windows, etc. I also have a bungee cord with clothespins on it that I hand stuff from.

If I had a playroom and a big corkboard I would use it. I wouldn't worry about the thumbtacks - just keep it high. Or you can get a magnetic board instead.

But I like to see her stuff all over the house.

You could do a couple of clothes line type of things from one side to the other & then clothes pin the projects. That's what we do in school.

You can use blue tak...that sticky stuff that goes on the walls...won't take off the paint.

That's something we can try, I wonder if it is hard to get off the paper though?

I put the current week's on the fridge. Then it gets moved to a high corkboard with push pins in the basement (he cant come close to reaching). After that it goes in his portfolio thing (Alex "My Art" portfolio).

Either tape or I like the clothesline idea.

Here's what I've been doing. I put everything up on the fridge, like the actual project stuff, then swap it out each week that we get new stuff. The old stuff goes in a box and I've been snapping pictures of each thing as we go along, this way, when I get rid of it eventually, I will have the pictures to make a shutterfly book of each year she's in school.

This is a great idea. I keep boxing it up wondering what the heck I'm going to do with all of it.

I can't keep everything, well I can but I refuse to b/c it would be out of control. I do exactly what Rachel does.
I actually think I am going to get a big cork board for the playroom so I can display 4 at a time instead of 2. I like that idea!
