Suites at disney- on or off property

Have you ever stayed in a suite on or off Disney property? We are considering one when we go but wondering about how much they are both on and off property.

Suites are limited, you have to look into the Disney Vacation Club rentals or book directly through Disney if you want suite type accommodations. They are listed under villas on their website, and prices are all over the map. It's easy to just log on and get a quick quote.

Off site there are TONS, cheaper than on site. Soooo many with various price ranges. $100-$500 just depends on exactly what you are looking for.

I would prefer something inexpensive, relatively close to disney and with a shuttle because I don't want to pay for parking everyday. Do you know which hotels with suites off property that are inexpensive?

Off site shuttles don't run that frequently, and many of them drop you off at Epcot, and you have to take the monorail to the transportation and ticket center to transfer to the other parks.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek is a good choice as far as accommodations go. It's inside the Disney property, has large 1, 2, 3, 4 bedroom suites, and you can rent them from other people on Ebay or other internet sites for very little. They have a shuttle, but don't know the specifics.

I second Orange Lake, but I'm pretty sure they don't offer a shuttle. I know that Sheraton Vistana and Summer Bay definitely have one though.

We stay at the Sheraton Vistana Villages. They offer a shuttle but, it didn't seem to run too frequently when we were there so we rented a car.

We stayed at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village. We didn't use the shuttle but I know there is one.

It was very reasonable. I think we paid about $800 for 5 nights for a huge 3bdrm suite with a kitchen. We wanted separate rooms because we didn't want to go to bed when the kids went to bed, and we took MIL along. It was perfect. We ate breakfast in our suite, and we cooked dinner a couple nights when the kids were too tired to go out.

we stayed here last time we went as well! Totally worth it.

We had a nice size 2bed, 2bath with full kitchen and washer and dryer. They have really nice pools for the kids as well. we loved having the extra space especially with a child who still naps.

We always rent a car, even when we stay on property so that was a non-issue for us.

At the time, i priced Sheraton vs Pop Century (regular room) and it was practically the same price!

Re: Suites at disney- on or off property

we stayed off Disney. It was a 2 bedroom condo...so worth it for us. It had a kitchen, washer/dryer (so I didnt pack much) we had a supermarket up the road so bought all of our food and made sandwiches, snacks and our own water to bring into Disney parks. Yes we had to rent a car but It was worth it for my son who has Autism. It was nice having all that space. He gets claustrophobic in hotel rooms.
We stayed at Renunion Resorts. Plus they had a pool within walking distance of our room, and one day we took a break and they have a big water park on the grounds.

I've stayed and am staying at Marriott Grande Vista in a few weeks. The rooms are great, huge, and super reasonable.

We stayed at Bonner Creek last time we went. It was beautiful. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room. We stayed at Old KEy West in the past and I feel like the rooms were equally as nice. And bonnet creek was a million times cheaper!!!
