Summer proofing your make up...experts please enter!
I need to "summer proof" my makeup so I don't spend those hot days looking like a young Tammy Faye...
beside switching to waterproof mascara (which I thought of all on my own ) what else should I change?
cremes, powders...gels...
I am talking for blush and eyeshadow mostly.
I have "oily" eyelids in general, so it's only exacerbated by hot and/or humid days.
TIA!

Putting on moisturizer right before I put on my makeup helps with keeping it on. I don't know about blush, but for your eye makeup, I use Clinique's touch base for the eyes - it goes on creamy, but dries almost like a powder - you can use it alone, or put other eye makeup on top of it - it keeps my eye makeup intact for the entire day. theres an eyeshadow stick that MAC sells. The lady there suggested buying it in a neutral shade and you apply that first then eyeshadow over it and eyeshadow stays put all day.

I've been using MAC paint in Bare Canvas to keep my eyeshadow from sliding off.

I have oily eyelids too and I LOVE Benefit's FYEye. It's an eyeshadow base.

ITA, this stuff works good for me...I just ran out and have suffered from the eyeshadow crease today!
