Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Mets v. Braves
Honestly, anyone w/ high expectations in this game was probably smoking something.
Some thoughts: -Although Lima's a tool and LoDuca (DaLuca, if you're Keith) is a hothead (and I love it), Angel Hernandez is an idiot.
-John Smoltz is just GOOD. I'd love to make him a Met.
-Beltran's hitting pattern aligns him w/ Piazza...they both show up when there's NO ONE ON THE BASES.
The Highlights: -The weather was beautiful
-I got my very own (huge) t-shirt from the Party Patrol gun
AND, above all, -I got to sport my homemade new favorite Mets shirt. (see below). It was a huge hit.

I personally loved LoDuca's emotion. They said over and over when he was traded that he is a guy that brings it every game.
Exactly what this team needs. Would have been a lousy game to go to though.
Nice T-Shirt.

Please I was disgusted when it was 8-1 that's when I shut it off. It's not Beltran's fault that he homers only when noone's on base, it's not his fault if noone can get on base for him.
I knew we were not winning this game. Smoltz vs. a rookie? come on that's a no brainer.
Yeah I'd like to see smoltz as a met too. He is good. One of my co-workers said that the mets might be going after Dontrel Willis. Don't know if it's true.

It was definitely a sucky game to go to, but at least the weather was nice and we got a Mets calendar. It was funny watching Bobby Cox argue with the umpires and then walk over to the dirt just so he could kick some. At least there were some entertaining moments.

Re: Sunday, Bloody Sunday
This series was incredibly hard for me to watch, because DH is a Braves fan
So the first 2 games I had to watch the game in the bedroom while DH watched downstairs. I get too nervous and have to cover my eyes sometimes, and it annoys DH Luckily he was gone all day yesterday so he missed the game, and I didn't have to hear any of his wisecracks!

FYI, Lima is not a rookie. He has been around for a while.

Nice Seats!
Thanks - they're shared season tix. We take 10 games a year in those seats. They're my FAVORITE seats - we've had them for the past 2 years. Its the first row of the Loge (blue seats) BUT its right up against the last row of Field level. AND we have the convenience of a drink/leg/pocketbook rest spot, because the cement divider is right there!
