Super bowl commercial... thoughts?
Link to YouTube video Sealy's Mattress commercial
Anyone else watch this and think that there should have been interracial couples or maybe even a same sex couple?
I'm not surprised there isn't, but thought it would have been amazing if there was.

Nah....I don't think there is anything wrong with it.....there were many ethnicities in it.
Though I did take notice of the lack of old people....what? Old people=no sex?

Not saying I disagree with you, but I don't think that the SuperBowl, when there are millions of families, and especially children of all ages watching, is the right time to start that conversation. Somehow I also don't think Sealy wants to be the one to start it either.
I can imagine the jaws dropping around the country, if they were to have shown a same-sex couple.
Again, not saying you're wrong, but the ad-makers are well aware of who their audience is.

DH and I laughed a lot at that one...and we're an interracial couple.
Not sure that we would've taken notice if there was an interracial or same-sex couple though, to be honest! Others, yeah, especially in places that aren't as mixed as the NY area...and I see where you're going with the idea. I guess what I'm saying is that as an interracial couple, we didn't feel slighted.
Now, someone in bed with a sheep...that would've definitely turned our heads!

Those were disgusting enough to get me to never buy a groupon again 
ETA: As far as the commercial, to me the girl in the second couple looks like she is of Asian decent.

as a pp said, i think the super bowl might not be the best time to bring up same-sex couples as a topic of conversations.

Somehow I missed this commercial, despite the fact that I watched the entire game & I thought every commercial. (wait, I took out the trash at some point)
As someone else pointed out DH & I, as well as our other guests did not like the groupon commercials.
