Super cheap (as in $99) laptops??
I see all these flyers/advertisements for $99, 199, etc. laptops. Whats the scoop with these? Are they stolen? really old?
Anyone ever buy one?
Would love a cheap-o laptop to just use the internet on at my house.

They probably have NOTHING on them.
And you would have to upgrade ALOT to get things that you want

Ahh interesting. No, I didnt have anything in particular in mind. I just see these ads in the paper about dirt-cheap laptops and was wondering what the deal was....

I would check out CNET.com and see what kind of reviews these laptops get. I would also take a look on Craig's List-- sometimes people will sell old laptops, and if you only want it for internet-- than you can probably find one pretty cheap that suits your needs perfectly.
