Surgery at Ny Presbyterian/Weill Cornell

Has anyone (or knows anyone) who's had a procedure done here?
I'm going in for a pretty major (at least to me) surgery next tuesday to remove a mass in my chest.

I've only been there once for my thoracic surgeon appt but I dont know much about the hospital itself.

I gave birth there and DS had surgery there as well when he was a baby and most of our specialists are out of Cornell (or Columbia). NYP is one of the top hospitals in the country. Cornell has some of the top surgeons in the country. You're in excellent hands.

I had lung surgery there. The doctors, nurses, staff etc were amazing! I really had top notch, world class care.

My mom has worked there for over 20 years and they are one of the top hostpitals in the country. They take excellent care of their patients and have on staff some of the best doctors in their fields who are often called upon for interviews and research.

You are in good hands.

My mother was a patient there on and off for 3 years. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hospital. She also had thoracic surgery there and they were not only very competent doctors, they were compassionate and explained everything thoroughly.

My father had major thorassic surgery there and the care he received was absolutely amazing. The doctors and nurses went above and beyond to make us all comfortable. His surgeon was written up in NY Mag for being the best in his field. We actually cried the day my dad was discharged saying goodbye to his nurses. I also have a close friend who is a nurse there.
