Kind of funny that such a detail would be released- I don't know of any other Hollywood moms who shared that info (unless the baby was born by c-section, but that's a little different). There's such a circus around them, it's nuts but he loves it (and he's nuts too!)

I agree about the detail - even with the name. Who goes around telling people what the name means? I know, let's name her something unusual so that when it's reported in the papers, we'll get an extra sentence out of the whole thing!!!

Did you hear that Brooke Shields also gave birth to her girl Grier yesterday!! At the same hospital, on the same floor!!  I hope she screamed her head off!!

He lived in NJ when he was a teen I think, but was born in Syracuse. I think they moved around a lot.

This made me laugh out loud:
Suri, the moniker for the Cruise-Holmes baby, came under scrutiny like everything else surrounding the child. Whereas the couple's publicist pointed out that Suri means "princess" in Hebrew and "red rose" in Persian, the Los Angeles Times pointed out that Suri means "pickpocket" in Japanese. It also was the acronym for what once was known as the Syracuse University Research Institute.
