Sweet 16 gift
Is giving $100 sufficient enough to give our niece for her sweet 16 which is at a catering place (not a crazy place like Jericho Terrace or anything but at a place none the less)?

I think $100.00 is a wonderful gift.
But if you want to give her something to look back on when she gets older.
I would give her earrings or a Necklace.
I have two niece's and I gave them each a set of gold and diamond earrings. They both said they are saving them for special occasions.

My niece had her sweet 16 in June at Rocco's in East Rockaway and DH, myself & DS went and we gave her $200.

I would give what is in your budget! $100 is definatley sufficient. My cousin has hers last year at a catering hall and I gave her $200

That's what I gave my niece so I think it's fine.
I also gave her a $25 gift certificate to kodak gallery so she could upload the pictures and make a memory book of the evening.

I think that is a good amount, I know when I had my sweet 16 I was looking forward to getting the cash. Also unlike a wedding, the sweet 16 girl isn't usually paying so its all profit!
