Sweet Valley High Fans...

Cheryl mentioned SVH in another post which reminded me of something. Rumor has it that Francine Pascal is writing a new series about Elizabeth and Jessica and their friends as adults. It's going to be called "Sweet Valley Heights" and supposedly it's going to be more "adult."

I hope it's true. I spent so much babysitting money on those books back in the day! They would be fun to read if only for the nostalgia factor.

Re: Sweet Valley High Fans...

you know what makes me mad about series though? Start at vol. 1 and read on. I hate that in every book, a refresher course is given. Older brother, tall, blond, Unicorn club, red fiat they shared..ya know? it is ususally 2 chapters worth and such a bore.

Re: Sweet Valley High Fans...

It IS TRUE!! There was an article about it in Bust Magazine. My coworker has the article and is making a copy of it for me.
Here is something I pulled off of Google:

Pascal is coming out with a new novel, Sweet Valley Heights, slated for publication in late 2005, which "will revisit all the familiar characters, now in their late 20s and early 30s and living in a gated community, and Francine promises it will be outrageous."

LOL!! So true, and how Jessica and Elizabeth were as beautiul as they were different. Oh, and how they wore exact pendants, a gift for their 16th b-day. This is bringing back memories.

Yay! I am glad you were able to confirm. Someone mentioned it in a blog and then I could not find anything definite on the web. Thanks!

OMG - I loved those books! I started with Sweet Valley Twins, and moved on to SVH. I always loved the Sweet Valley Sagas, that went through the ancestral history of the characters' families.
