Swimming Lessons for Infants

Anyone take their infants for swimming lessons? How old were they? I see Saf-T-Swim starts at 2 months. I want DD to learn how to swim as soon as possible, and she loves to be in the water for her bath. She's 3 months.

I am looking to sign DD up as well. She is two months next week. I'm curious to see what everyone else has to say as well.

Jake goes to Saf-T-Swim. I started him just before he turned 2. My cousin also started her 1 yr old (just before he turned 1) in the Mommy & Me Swim class they have for younger babies. But they start as early as 2 months and the Mommies get to go in the water with the babies which I think is great.

Yeah, that's the only part I don't like, that I'd have to wear a bathing suit Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

All 3 of my kids went (and go to) Saf-T-Swim. I highly recommend it.

I started ds at 4 months old. I don't think he's learning yet but at least he's not afraid of being in the pool.

DS just started and he's 11 months. I would have started sooner, but we were swimming so much this summer that I thought it would be a waste of $$ since he was already getting water experience.
