What types of "extras" did you register for, and if this isn't your first, what do you recommend?

the bouncer was a must for us -- and we have a travel swing also. my daughter is almost 5 mos. and we never got a play yard or exersaucer -- although we might get aack n play now for her to sleep in at the sitters.

Swing is a *must*... it saved our lives. Bouncy seat is also convenient... Alex only used her pack n' play for a few weeks so for us it wasn't really necessary. Entertainers/walkers don't fit until about 4-5 months so again, not essential for registry purposes. The exercise mats are a good choice... we used it a lot in the beginning

yes - have to add that the "gymni" is a great thing -- we use ours a lot still.

We registered for a travel swing, 2 bouncers (one had netting over it so we can take her ourside this summer), a pack n play, baby einstein floor mat, walker, baby einstein stationary play area thing...LOL I dont know what its called but the baby sits in the middle and the seat spins around so they can turn and play with all the stuff around them.

We didnt register for a full sized swing because we didnt think we'd have the room in the living room with everything else set up.

We tried to poll our friends and it seemed like there was an even split b/w those babies that loved their swing and those that swore by the bouncy seat so we figured you can't tell till you try it so we registered for both a swing and bouncy seat. We also registered for a pack n play, and a play mat for the rug as well.

Can't live with out the swing; she likes her Exersaucer; didn't get a bouncy seat, the one I have is more of a rocker; use my pack n play in my living room.

I had a swing, bouncy seat & exersaucer.

I got the most use out of the bouncy seat & the exersaucer.

The bouncy seat I had wasn't a traditional wire bouncy seat. It was from Chicco (similar to this one see below). It was cozy enough that he'd sleep in it & feel snuggled so I could get housework done.

The full sized FP Aquarium swing was a MUST for us. He loved it.

I had a bouncy seat and he didn't like it. We never used it, hopefully baby #2 will get some use out of it.

I got a hand-me-down exersaucer and he loved it. Well worth it for us!

And I had the Jumperoo, which he wasn't crazy about. We lent it to a friend instead. I got it back and we'll see how it goes for baby #2.

Same here. We also have the baby einstein play mat thing. We have a pack n play that we used for her to nap in during the day when she was small as well as for diaper changing. Also have one at my mom's house. And a travel swing at my mom's.
