swollen ankles?
Ok, so my ankles are swollen. How do I get rid of this? Drink more water? Does this mean I am retaining water? I am 26w5d. TIA.

Re: swollen ankles?
i would say drink more water, drinking more water actually helps you retain less. if that makes sense
Are you on your feet all day? When I work I elevate my feet slightly or i have them fully extended under my desk so good circulation, and i don't cross my legs. I haven't gotten swollen at all yet(knock on wood), i am 29weeks.
Hope that helps you too!

To be honest- I got swollen ankles/feet, you name it towards the end of my pregnancy and really nothing helped. Just keep them elevated as much as possible. Even after delievery, it had even gotten worse, that I begged my doctor to give me a diarretic to take off the excess fluid. That was when the swelling finally went down.

Re: swollen ankles?
try to drink more fluids and keep your feet elevated when you are home.
Also try to move around and get as much circulation going in your legs/feet as possible. Don't overdo it though. Comfortable shoes are also a must have - forget about fashion - as long as they give you support that is the most important.
Hope the swelling goes down

Re: swollen ankles?
i know i am swelling a bit because when i take my socks off at the end of the day my legs have indentations . i bought some new pairs of socks which has helped a bit.
my rings are also getting snug .
dr. said it's a little early for me to have this (i'll be 25 weeks tomorrow), but basically to try everything others have mentioned. it's not too bad, but i hope it doesn't get too much worse !
