Swollen Feet
Has anyone else had swollen feet? I noticed it yesterday when I got home from work. I had them propped up on a box at while at work today. They are still swollen but not as bad as yesterday.

Re: Swollen Feet
Oh yes- the last six weeks of pregnancy my DH described my feet as "a surgeons glove blown up like a balloon". I think t was the first time the entire pregnancy that he felt really bad for me. I had definitely overdone it though- between commuting and being on my feet at work. Nothing helped! But once I gave birth- back to normal! Ugh it was torture though- I had to buy new shoes they were so bad!

Re: Swollen Feet
Not yet, but with DS I had bad edema and swelled up like a balloon for the last month of my pregnancy. Literally you could press your finger on my foot and it would create a cavernous indentation from the swelling and water retention. I'm praying I escape it this pregnancy.

Yes, but not until I was like 35 weeks+. I would mention it at your next appointment to see what the doctor says.

This was me too last time. I was also pre-eclamptic and delivered at 38 weeks. Hoping it's less severe this time.

Re: Swollen Feet
my feet are super swollen thanks to the heat.. actually just went at lunch to try and get a new pair of sandals and everything I tried on was too tight in the band over my feet! planning on going to payless and getting some pairs of cheap big wide width sandals!

The only shoes that work for me are Crocs. Not exactly a fashion statement, but oh well!

From my second tri on my feet were swollen. So bad. Never developed pre e or anything. Just awful swelling. By the end it was ridiculous. And started early!

Re: Swollen Feet
I've been soaking in Epsom salt baths and it seems to help at the end of the day. I've also gotten a bit addicted to the lavender scent lol.

Re: Swollen Feet
Yes! Drink LOTS of water and reduce sodium intake. Try and relax and elevate your feet at night. My midwife also told me eating more protein helps.
