Swollen lips, horrible headache and a bad nosebleed last night. Blood pressure?
37 weeks tomorrow....
I should know this stuff, but I have never had a BP issue, always low. I had a rough day yesterday, and now my lips-just my lips-look like I had Botox, I can barely open my eyes from a headache, and my nose was bleeding for a while last night. No contractions, no more swollen feet or ankles. Anyone ever have bp issues that can offer insight?
TIA- debating calling the dr at 9.

Not sure about the lips but the headache along with a bloody nose is a sign of hypertension crisis. I would call your dr asap. I am a medic and when we see this it is generaly high. It could just be pregnancy related and nothing to do with that but I would double check it to be safe.

I would call the doctor's emergency number. At 37 weeks, you can't be too careful.

Coming from someone who has had pre-eclampsia symptoms, I would take Tylenol for your raging headache. I would give it 20 mins to kick in. If it does nothing- call the emergency #. High BP and horrible headaches that are not helped by Tylenol are signs of pre-e. The nosebleed and swollen lips sound suspicious to me too. Hope you feel better. Keep us posted!!

No BP issues here but I get like that when the heat is too high in my house, could you be dehydrated?

Re: Swollen lips, horrible headache and a bad nosebleed last night. Blood pressure?
I ended up pre-eclampsic at 37 weeks my BP which had been fine the whole pregnancy went up a little bit but still in normal range at 36 weeks,
They told me to look for headaches that were severe OR weren't relieved by tylenol, swelling in the face, nausea etc.
If you have a bad headache, swollen lips and nosebleed I would call your emergency OB line and at least talk to them about getting your BP checked.
