Re: Tahiti

oh wow

i would love to talk about tahiti.

my absolute favorite place.

DH and I got back almost 4 months ago from our honeymoon.

We went for 13 days

I'll give the quick run down

We flew 12.5 hours on Air Tahiti Nui which was a great flight- what a wonderful airline, we felt like we were in first class and we were in coach! (TIP: when boarding- the board couples on the side of the plane- secure a middle row - 4 seats, and u will be able to lay down the entire flight cause they dont over book too much)

we stayed 1 night at the IC (Intercontinental) Hotel Tahiti- Papeete

Next day we flew via air moorea to Moorea and stayed at the Pearl Beach Resort Moorea for 5 nights. we had a blast here - i'll go onto more detail as the thread progresses. we stayed in a private garden bungalow with a plunge pool.

We flew via air tahiti from moorea to Bora Boar and stayed on a motu (small island) at the IC hotel Thalasso Resort and Spa (5star hotel) - amazing. we stayed in bungalow 238 -emerald overwater bungalow and had a beautiful sunrise every morning waking us up

Both resorts were very different and both amazing. Moorea was a lot more cultural, while Bora bora was true paradise.

we cannot wait to go again!

keep the thread alive- ask questions!

dh got a tatoo on moorea - he had it done traditionally. we contacted James about 4 months prior to our trip and they set the whole thing up.

he is at the Sheraton i believe on moorea, i wil double check.

James made the tool out of boars tusk or something and the procedure took about2.5 hours. it was amazing. we waited until the last day of our trip to do this.

let me know if u have any other questions.

Re: Tahiti

My advice, I opted not to go to Tahiti (except for landing and moving on to Moorea). I suggest going to Moorea first and then on to Bora Bora. We stayed in a garden bungalow in Moorea and an Over water bungalow in Bora Bora.

Not that Moorea isn't beautiful, it's just "different" than Bora Bora. I personally would want to end my vacation on the best possible note ever and Bora Bora is.

I too recommend the shark feeding excursion. You're going to love it.

Re: Tahiti

I wouldnt reccommend staying in Tahiti just taking the plane there. I went to Moorea first then Bora Bora. Those two islands are beautiful. However, Bora Bora is much more gorgeous and picturesque. FM me if u want info on my travel agent he did a great job putting it together.
