Take your child to work day today...
Did anyone's coworkers bring their kids to your job today? Or did you bring your own kids?
Three of my coworkers brought their kids and it has been such a fun day. They all brought such a breath of fresh air to the office... all so well behaved too!
There is about 6 of them ages 8-12 and they all interviewed us (made up their own questions) about how we like our jobs, etc. It was great finally meeting the kids that my coworkers are always taking about.

nope, there are renovations going on on one of our two floors and our co. decided that it would be a liability to have kids in the office space....

Re: Take your child to work day today...
we have an all day long event here! so much fun!!
i got to give a tour of our building to a group of about fifteen 5-8 yr olds. they were all so good and cute and full of questions. plus - you can make kids do anything. "everyone say good morning bob" and every one does -ha! it was really a lot of fun.

It was planned, but then they cancelled because there were not enough participants. It's tough though because our office is in the city and almost everyone lives in the outter burrows or LI, CT, & NJ.

Re: Take your child to work day today...
I didn't know it was today. I would have liked to have taken my nephew I think. But I'd get no work done and this place is not very interesting for a kid.

Re: Take your child to work day today...
I saw MANY kids in the city today with their parents going to work. I had a great time sitting with a 5 year old set of twins on the way home with their dad. These kids were SMART. The little boy told me all about transferring at Jamaica, which is right next to Woodside. It was hysterical.

Re: Take your child to work day today...
We had over 90 kids at my job. I left my kids home since I only have a few days in between vacations.

Re: Take your child to work day today...
i brought my son to work today. they had a full day of activities... including pizza for lunch *and the parents were allowed to join in*
it was nice. i work for a tpa (we deal with retirement accts), so the kids got a piggy bank... to start saving! i thought that was nice.
all the kids were very well behaved. there was about 10 of them.
my son asked if he could do it again, next year.

Re: Take your child to work day today...
no kids in my office today, but I saw quite a father-son pair on the train this morning.
Son looked around six years old. He was wearing a suit that was nearly identical to his Dad's. And, he was carrying a full-sized LL Bean briefcase/messenger bag.
It was so odd!

Re: Take your child to work day today...
I brought my daughter, there were about 120 kids (but I work in a large hospital). She had so much fun, met all my patients, had breakfast with the chief of staff, she was so upset when the day was over The best part was she said to me "Wow Mommy, NOW I understand why you are so tired when you come home from work" Now I wish they woul dhave a BRING YOUR HUBBY to WORK DAY!!

Re: Take your child to work day today...
I was wondering why there were so many kids in Penn Station today!
Nope, no kids in my office. But they usually only come in on our "Christmas" day.

Re: Take your child to work day today...
I did see some kids at my job today but I didn't think much of it because usually there is a big to-do... a whole day event. I guess they toned it down this year.
