Take your mommy complains somewhere else
So I have a friend.. (the same one who stole my baby name  ) that constantly complains about being a mom.
She complains about how they get sick, how they drive her crazy, how she never has time to herself, how it strains her marriage, etc... Im not the type of person who needs the world to revolve around me but this girl knows that DH and I are TTC. She also knows that we had a m/c a few months ago. Isn't it proper to consider your audience???
I've been biting my lip for so long but I finally I said to her, yeah Im sure it's hard but you have to remember to be thankful. I think she got the picture but what else could I have said?? Im borderline ready to cut her off b/c I just can't take her complaining about it all. She complained thru her ENTIRE pregnancy as well and even went so far as to say she wished she never got pg. 
Dont get me wrong, WHEN I am a mom, Im sure Ill have complaints, but I dont think I'd file them with my friend who is depserately trying to get PG!

OMG I really dislike your friend!!!! I'm so sorry she's so thick-headed and selfish, and I'm really, really glad you said something!!!

It drives me crazy when people do this. I get it, being a parent is difficult. And I'm sure when I have kids I will make a lot of the same complaints but like you said, mind your audience and have some consideration.
I think what really gets me is I am SO aware of what I say and who I say it in front of. I think all grown ups should understand that you can say the same thing to two different people and it could devaste one and the other would consider it normal conversation depending on what they each have going on in their lives.

UGH! I'm so happy you said something. I'm happy that we're all going to be so kind and thoughtful when we talk about our pregnancies and children. I guess that that doesn't kill us only makes us stronger!
