Re: taking down wallpaper
We tried taking down wallpaper in our kitchen, but it hadn't been put up right, so we had to hire someone to take it down. The sheetrock wasn't prepped, so the glue wouldn't release with DIF or a steamer.
After the paper was removed the walls were a mess, so we had to have a skimcoater in to fix that. Then we were able to paint.
But you won't know until you try. Some wallpaper comes down 1-2-3.

Re: taking down wallpaper
I just started in my bedroom and it is already a nightmare. Ya never know what is under there. In my case there was glue and 2 coats of paint and another layer of wallpaper! I think I am just going to paint over the wallpaper in the living room:)

Re: taking down wallpaper
we took ours down - it wasnt hard - we used a steamer. Before we painted we primed all the walls and it came out great.
