Taking DS to allergist....am I doing the right thing?
When RJ was a newborn he has microscopic blood in his stool and the GI doc. put him on Elecare. I was also informed to eliminate all soy because if he was allergic to milk he might be allergic to soy as well.
So when RJ was 7 weeks old I took him to the allergist to see if he was indeed allergic to milk and soy and I wanted to see if he was also allergic to anything else. Well, the scratch test came back inconclusive due to his age. The dr. told me that I could have him tested around 7 months. Well, he is almost 7 months and he has an appointment coming up to test him again. Do you think Im crazy in taking him to the allergist? Part of me wants to really know if it’s a true allergy and part of me doesn’t want to mess around with his digestive tract. When they said he was allergic the only symptom he has was just lots of poop (not diarrhea, but pooping way too much).
Do you think I am doing the right thing, I just don’t want him to be in pain, but I also don’t want him limited to certain foods if he isn’t allergic, KWIM?

I would take him too. Better to know for sure IMO.

I agree, I had DD tested at almost 6 months. It turned out she was only allergic to milk and not soy.
