Taking medicine??
My dog just had a tooth pulled and she has to take 4 1/2 pills twice a day!! Anyway, she is on to us! She will not take her pills no matter what way we give them to her! We have tried rolled up in cheese, cold cuts, slathered with peanut butter, mixed in wet food, etc! We try to trick her and give her a few pieces of food without the pills but as soon as we give her the piece with the food she spits it out! It is so frustrating!! Does anyone have any ideas of how we can get her to take her medicine? We still have 10 more days of this!!

Re: Taking medicine??
What worked for my dog after his teeth being pulled was buying canned dog food, which he loves. We bought the ground kind, Science Diet ground up, and I made "pill" meatballs and fed them to him that way. Swallowed them whole. But your dog sounds too smart so not sure if it would work.

Down the Hatch method...
I've always just opened my dogs mouth and put it in the back of their mouth and stroked their necks. They've just swallowed them.

Re: Taking medicine??
Wow. Your dog is TOUGH. I consider my dog pretty intelligent and he still hasn't figured it out. I have to give him an allergy pill daily.
I use these, but your dog might be too smart for these, too!
