Taking my first sick day today.
I made it through my whole first trimester without using any sick days. I'm very thankful that I had it easy.
Today I'm home sick with a horrible sinus headache. I've had the headache for 3 days and just couldn't take it anymore. I also couldn't bear to put real clothes on today, everything is getting tight. Top it off I didn't want to deal with the rain and the commute to NYC. Ok, I'm done complaining.
I called Dr. and was told I can take Tylenol Cold and Sinus as long as it isn't extra strength. I'm so happy, I just took it and I'm hoping one dose and a hot steamy shower will start to relieve the pressure.

I know EXACTLY how you feel! I have not taken a sick day in 3 school years through 2.5 pregnancies, and I have to leave early today because I am reasonably certain I have the flu--fever, aches, etc.
Feel better and get A LOT of rest!!

The same thing happened to me last week. I went through my first 3 months without a sick day - then last Thursday I had flu like symptoms and stayed home.

I feel for you....the same thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago...I couldnt' shake it for 3 days...finally took that shower soother thing and cold compresses and a lot of sleep & it finally went away. Hope you feel better
