Taking out the belly ring...
I will be 17 weeks on Tuesday and I realize that I must take out my belly ring. I got it done when I was 17, so I've had it for 10 years. I changed the ring to a bar about 7 years ago, and it has stayed ever since. I have been putting off taking it out and I don't know why. I think I am gonna do it today.

I took mine out with my 1st DD I should have just left it my bellybutton never pooped out . Why are you taking yours out?

I guess I just feel like I need to. I'm afraid that it will take forever to close up and if I do it too late, my belly will look terrible when I start growing.

I took mine out pretty early - I think around 15 weeks?
I know someone whos skin split open  from leaving it in so I didn't want to take any chances.

I had mine for several years as well and I took it out almost a year ago...it took a few months to close up, however the "hole" is still noticeable and now that my belly is growing, it looks kinda weird

SAME WITH ME!!! Take it out Krista!! Save your bellybutton!!!  You can always put a pregnancy one in and then change it later.
I ended up having to RE pierce in a different spot

Same here At almost 36 weeks, it still doesn't looktoo bad. The hole streched a little but not horrible.

Take it out and take a piece of thread (preferably embroidery thread b/c it's thicker) and put it through the hole. Move it around every day same as when you first got it pierced.
