taking steps and walking

How long after your DC took 1-3 steps by themselves, did they start actual walking?

It was exactly 4 weeks between DD taking her first steps and FULLY walking.

So probably about 2 weeks between the few steps and fully walking.

Re: taking steps and walking

I'm going to say two weeks or so.

He was taking steps when we were in Italy (and started the week prior) - and then full on walking about a week later. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: taking steps and walking

Kaitee took her first steps at 8 1/2 months old. She was walking full time at 9 1/2 months old.

Brooke took her first steps at 9 1/2 months. At 10 months she could walk across large rooms (about 30 baby steps long) without falling but she would only do it if I was on the other side of the room bribing her with a toy. She wouldn't even try to walk to anyone but me. At 11 months old she finally started walking all the time with no bribes.

For DD it was 2 months later, but I think that is unusual

Re: taking steps and walking

Chat Icon B, DD never took just 1 or 2 steps only, once she took a step, she was off, full-on walking! So I hope that your DS takes off just as quickly! Chat Icon

I think about 3 weeks.... He still doesn't full time walk though, rarely he will still crawl. it's been 5 weeks now.

Caden was like this....He started taking steps 2 days after his birthday but he was closer to 14 months before he was officially walking.

Re: taking steps and walking

I'd say 2-3 weeks for us.

One day it was 1 step, then the next it was 2 steps, 3, then 4...it got more and more every day.
