Talk to me about 3 years olds and Dancing School
It's been quite a few years since I hung up my tap dancing shoes....how do dancing schools work now?
Do they run still Sept-June with a recital? Can you join at any time? Any info would be appreciated!

The school DD goes to runs from September through the recital in June. Registration starts this week for her school. She was 2 going on 3 last year and did quite well in the 3-4 year old class even though she was the youngest.

they usually go from sept-may ish then recital end of may beg. of June. They usually will not let your join after they start to learn the recital routine which is like January.

DD's registration starts 8/26 and they have a few dates specifically for registration. Classes start 9/13 and they run through early June. Our recital is usually the weekend before Father's day.

we are taking DD to the little gym for dance this fall.
there is no recital, they just learn the basics for ballet and tap.
DD took a trial class and loved it.

That would be perfect. I just checked the one near me and they don't offer the dance on Sunday (the day I would want). Good to know of future though. Thank you!

The school DD attended for two years runs from about 9/15 (with registration late August) until the very end of June. The recital is the last weekend in June. It is optional, but nearly all of the kids participate.
Her school for September does recitals every OTHER year...which I'm psyched about.
DD just loooooooves dance!

DD is starting in Sept. She is 3 also. One of the local dance schools does a class at day care, we are doing that one. Since she is there all day I figured she can go while she's there.
I also wonder how it works at this age-guess we will find out.

DD;s dance school started registration this week. It runs from mid Sept to early June with a recital. DD started last year when she had just turned 3 and did very well with it and loved it. Shes going back again this year. (she turned 4 in June). Its an hour combo class of ballet and tap. Its about $40/mth.

DD will be 3 in December. She is starting a dance class that runs Sept-May. This school doesn't do a recital for her age group.
