talk to me about internal sono while bleeding
im pretty sure they will do an internal tomorrow but im bleeding pretty heavily.
how do you handle this? im even thinking when i get undresses i feel like ill want to keep a pad on until they actually examine me, you know?

It won't even phase them. Just give them a heads up. The internal probe is always covered with the latex protective sleeve, so it's totally fine. They usually have you empty out your bladder right before the sono, so just wipe as thoroughly as possible.

Yeah its a little gross but not to big of a deal. Your sitting on a big pad while you wait. Waiting is definitely the worst part.

They are totally used to it. When going through infertility treatments, they do sonos on the 2-3 day of your period which is gross and can be heavy. Just bring a pad with you but don't be embarrassed. It's a norm for them.

Are you having cramping? My OB was more concerned with cramping than bleeding.

very slight cramping. like i have no pain, just more of a weird discomfort, kind of like when you have to go to the bathroom. and it comes and goes.
but it is very heavy bleeding. all day. and thick at times.

its normal to feel uncomfortable but like many ladies said, its normal for these techs to do sonos while so many people are on their periods. I thought I would feel uncomfortable when had one done while bleeding, and it wasn't so bad, they can provide you with a pad after.

It seems you've already received good responses but just wanted to reassure you some more. They are used to it. As long as you tell them you're bleeding they will have you sit on a large pad on the examination bed (kind of looks like a puppy wee wee pad). Don't worry about the sono part, like a previous poster said it's done all the time with fertility testing. Thinking of you, hang in there!!!!
