Talk to me about medicated frozen FET cycles...how many appts, cost, your experience...esp at SIRM?

Hello-
Has anyone done a medicated frozen FET cycle recently, esp at SIRM?

I have my twins from Dr T at SIRM, when we had infertility coverage. Now, we'd have to pay out of pocket.

So I'm just trying to get an idea of cost for the cycle and meds - as well as how many monitoring appts it takes, etc as the logistics are much more complicated with twin toddlers.

I have AI issues but I never had any problem with building up lining, hyperstim, ovulating, etc.

Thanks and feel free to fm me if you prefer!

Good luck to everyone here Chat Icon

Hey. I am doing my first FET now. I don't go to SIRM but I have an appointment with Dr. T in Feb if this FET doesn't work. What is your feedback on him? I'm hoping this works and I don't have to meet with him but if not I hear he is great. After 2 failed IVFs I need something to work already.

I started my FET a week ago and am on Estrace twice a day. I went in on CD 2. I go back on CD 9. I get my schedule on Friday but I believe I will go once a week and transfer will be around CD 20. Way less monitoring than a fresh cycle. I also think my Estrace will be upped. I will start PIO before transfer and take it until BETA and longer if I become pregnant.

I don't know about cost bc I still have some insurance left and will pay something but not full price. FET is cheaper than a fresh cycle. There is less monitoring and no retrieval so less visits is less cost. I don't have coverage for Estrace and it was $29 for a bottle of 60 pills. I think I will be on Medrol and doxycycline at some point too but all are cheap.

GL with your cycle!
