Talk to me about OPKs and Fertility Monitors
Is it worth the extra money? Should I wait a few months after trying more naturally before investing?
I am really trying not to spend any extra money on this-- and I also want as few things to obsess over as possible-- I can get a little crazy

OPK's cost about 12-25...You can find cheap ones at Walmart and the $$ stores have them for $1 each. What I usually do is look out for EWCM, once I see that I start BD'ing and testing(anytime between 12-8 PM-pee on the stick or in a cup) Once I get my positive I continue to BD that day and 2 days after. If you're regular I would start with inexpensive OPK's. They're the easiest but if you're not in a huge rush you could just BD every other day during your fertile week and hope for the best. I know that works for a lot of people who have no issues.

I guess its really up to you. If you are pretty regular than you can try on your own. If maybe after a few cycles nothing happens then I would say get the OPK. Some people it happens right away, some people need help pinpointing their ovualtion and others take awhile even with the OPK!

ummmm..only if it were that easy 
Randi: I would just use OPKs for a few months before using the monitor. I know the monitor works well for many women, but if you are irregular, it might be more frustrating than anything else (at least that's been my experience)
