Talk to me about permanent eyebrows
As some of you might know I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It's early so I'll be ok but at one point I will probably loose all my hair with chemo including brows & eyelashes.
My eyebrows have always been a little sparse and I'd love to have them professionally "filled in" and have something there when my hair fills in. Oh and I'm pretty sure I have to do it before it falls out because I can't do it on chemo.
So, does anyone have any recommendations for me? Can they tattoo on eyebrows when the hair is still there? How much does it cost? I'm in Eastern Suffok. TIA!

Re: Talk to me about permenent eyebrows
hi! Im so glad to hear that you caught it early and you'll be ok
My mom got her eyebrows tatooed a few weeks ago. She loves it and so do I. I thnk it looks really good. With age her eyebrows started getting lighter and lighter and she would have to pencil them in, so she finally decided to get the tattoo.
From what she has told me, the tattooo artist told her its not permanent.. its last 5+ years or so then it'll fade. I dont know how, this is just what my mom told me. My mom said the lady put something to numb the area but it still hurt like crazy, but she got through it!
She did it in Queens, I could get the info if you want. FM me if your interested. I think it cost her $250ish
OH ETA: and they tattooed the eyebrows with hair still there.. they told my mom to shape them with pencil how she likes it, then they went over it. The hair is not a problem, they wont need to shave it.

I'd ask your oncologist about it first, because if you ever need an MRI I don't know how that works with whatever is in the tattoo ink (since your face is close to your chest).
Good luck, you really have such a positive outlook
