talk to me about walking
so i think DS *can* walk, but is lazy. if i stand him up in front of me, he might take two steps towards me, but more often than not he lunges for me and falls
well last night he was standing next to the couch and took 3 steps towards DH, totally unassisted, to get a pillow DH was holding.
so i KNOW he can walk, yet when i tried to get him to do it again he sat down and crawled.
how long is this going to go on for? i don't mind carrying him but my almost-5-months-preggo back does!

B has been doing this for MONTHS now. Sorry, I know that doesn't give you any hope.

Yea I agree. Kaydyn started doing this in early Nov and didn't full on walk until the day before her 1st birthday at the end of January.

Re: talk to me about walking
My DD took 5 steps about 6 weeks ago. For a week after, she was taking 2-4 steps at a time. Now it's like she prefers crawling and cruising. She can also stand without assistance, but it's like as soon as she realizes she is standing without holding on, she decides to sit down. I'm sure they will grow out of it.
DD is 10.5 months.

Re: talk to me about walking
I think DS did that for almost 2 months before full on walking.
I agree. It's laziness and a little bit of hesitation/fear. DS just knew he could get where he wanted much faster crawling!

Re: talk to me about walking
Anthony is still doing the same thing 2 months after taking his 1st steps. He will only walk if i hold his hand OR if no one is looking
Honestly, i think he is just doing it to screw with me at this point

Re: talk to me about walking
Shana did that for about a month until she was more steady on her feet. It was always 2 steps here, 5 steps there, until she got the hang of it.

frankie did this for a month...he would wlak a few steps and when he fell he would just crawl the rest of the way. Then about three weeks ago, we saw him fall, then pick himself back up, and walk again. WE knew at that point he would be walking. He does still crawl as well though. At his own time, he will do it....
