Talking to my boss today...
Wish me luck! I am going to beg her to let me work from home 2 days a week. My job isn't very family friendly so I don't think she's going to go for it.
I am soooooo nervous!

I pled my case. Then I was told that they will not allow anyone to work from home because there is no such thing as working from home.
I had to take a 20% pay cut to stay home on Fridays but I did get to switch my hours to 7-3 from Mon through Thurs. (I commute into the city so now I'll be out of the house from 5 - 5 instead of 7-7.)
The pay cut SUCKS. It's an understatement to say that we will be living from paycheck to paycheck. Plus now we need to find someone to watch the boys 1 day a week. I agreed to the paycut bc it's soooo important to me to be to be able to work and still have lots of time with the kids.
Ramen noodles, here we come. 
I think I'll use my Fridays for play dates and job searching.

Aww, sorry that didn't work out, Jen!
But, I commend you for making some sacrifices for your little ones....I totally know the feeling! I left my job and am just working PT. I am soooo nervous about making ends meet, but I know we will all be happier in the end.
Everyone makes it work, somehow...
Plus, Ramen noodles aren't so bad
