Tall Boot Help

I went looking for tall boots today and besides the fact that I am in love with so many styles, I need help in the toe area.

I want to get the most versatility out of these boots and I'm having a hard time deciding between pointy, round or square toe.

Here's the issue, I want to be able to wear them to work (with suits and dress pants), over jeans, AND with crop pants. I normally prefer a roundish toe - not too pointy, not too round.

Anyway, even though I love the wedge boots and I think those look better over jeans, I think for work I should stick with a slim heel. I don't think pointy looks as good over the jeans or with the crop pants - what do you think? Round? I wasn't crazy about how the round toe looked with my suit though...

What do you think of these two?

So you think pointy is more versatile than round?

Isn't pointy over?

ETA: I just noticed the heel on those 2nd ones is not like the ones I tried on...those have a weird sorta wedge...picture the heel without that.

ETA: Fixed the pic Chat Icon

Re: Tall Boot Help

Nay on both

specifically...i do not like the second because i like leather boots as opposed to those cloth ones that look like long bobby socks

ETA...i like pointy toe better

No round toe on boots for me

Ok so pointy or square would be more versatile... I agree about those cloth type ones, really wasn't crazy about any of the ones I tried on... the search continues! Chat Icon

Re: Tall Boot Help

i know a lot of people like the pointy toe, i happen to prefer a modified square. IMO, round is too teeny-bopperish. how about one of these?

Re: Tall Boot Help

Thanks Skew!

I REALLY like the Love My Shoes ones and the ones from Nordstoms.

I tried on the Nine West ones yesterday and they were nice but they made my legs look fat (not that they aren't Chat Icon) and they didn't have my size so they made my feet look ginormous.

I'm going to have try those others!
