Tapas Party

I am throwing a tapas party tomorrow for about 12-14 people. Here's my menu.

Herbed Chicken Bites
Sherry Beef Bites
Potato and Onion Tortilla
Chairizo (sp?) and Shredded Veggie Tortilla
Latin Chicken and Rice
Mushrooms in Garlic Sauce

I am also going to have a plate of olives, Spanish cheese, Serrano ham, peppers, almonds, and crusty bread. I am going to have homemade guacomole, salsa, and tortilla chips for dipping.

Any other suggestions. Do you think I have enough food.

I stole this recipe from a tapas bar in NYC and it consistently is the favorite item at all parties I have

dates wrapped in bacon

boarshead bacon slices, cut in 1/2 (so they're roughly 4 inches long)
pitted dates
toothpicks


wrap a 1/2 slice of bacon around each date, fasten with a toothpick (through a meaty part, not a fatty part...) fry in a skillet turning when the bacon is done on each side. Drain on papertowels and serve hot.

the perfect food (just not health-wise ) its sweet, salty, and smoky! it also takes only 10 min to make a big pile of them
