I have ony used Sears. I have been very happy with them. BUt just be warned having an appt does not mean they will take you right on time. Obvioulsy its worse around holidays, thats the only time the wait was ridiculous.

Re: Target or Sears.....

Sears are good. But take a coupon! You can get them in any baby magazine. You can get sheets as low as $3.99

Re: Target or Sears.....

If you go with Target, there are coupons on their site for 3.99 sheets and no sitting fee and a free 8x10.

Re: Target or Sears.....

We just went to Target last week for DD's first professional pictures (in Bayshore). I think that the session went really well - however they don't do digital pictures so it takes 10 business days to get them in (they still use film). That being said, I can't really comment on how they turned out, because I haven't seen the finished product yet.

I think that the prices were reasonable - with the coupon on their site I got a sheet of wallets, 2 5x7 sheets (these also have some smaller pictures on them) 2 10 x 13s and an 8 x 10 for $30.

You should definitely try to bring someone to help you though - especially if the babies aren't sitting up on their own - there were a lot of times that I had to support DD from behind the curtain - she is just about 7 months and still a little wobbly.

I didn't know that you couldn't see the pics before you order them. That would be a dealbreaker for me, as I can remember the days of doing that with DS only to get not so great pics.

No problem! I didn't realize I posted 2 of the same pic..Sorry about that. That's the only way they could get my nephew to smile..Fishing stuff. He wanted the car, but, some of his pics from previous times were done in the car. When the girl took out the fishing gear, he was VERY happyChat Icon

Re: Target or Sears.....

I just took Ryan for his birthday pics. We tried Target first and they didn't come out good at all. We just went to Sears on Monday and they came out great! There were so many to choose from and I had a coupon from some magazine.

I got a free birthday collage (8*10), a free 10*13, and 9 sheets. The total was $61.

I found the woman at Sears to be much better than Target but I think it totally depends on the day, the photographer and the baby's mood.

Good luck!
