Target vs. BRU: Registry

I think I am going to do 2 registries. I am going to do Pottery Barn for the luxury items and I am torn between Target and BRU for the majority of the items.

Any feedback on either?

Re: Target vs. BRU: Registry

BRU does not have a great reputation with managing their registry system. They don't always remove items so you end up with duplicates and then have a semi-difficult return policy. They also keep changing their stock, so registered items quickly become 'no longer available' (happened to me numerous times!)

that being said, target has an even worse registry reputation! their return policy is supposedly wreched and the registry rather mismanaged (as far as additions and purchases go). as mentioned earlier, they also don't have a huge selection.

My problem: I love love love the dwell for target crib linens... but wanted to avoid a target registry... I figured out the perfect way to register for them is through AMAZON!

I have to say their registry runs smooth as silk. it registers items as purchased in real time ( I know, becuase mom was buying an item from the registry as I spoke to her and was by my computer). they also have the hugest selection

the major con of amazon is no brick and mortar store... which some people do not like. however, my amazon and BRU registries are emptying at similar rates, so it's not THAT much of a factor.

hope this helps!

Re: Target vs. BRU: Registry

I would go with BRU. Target is known for changing their inventory more frequently and always find it very difficult to find things when someone is registered there. BRU has a better selection overall.

ITA - BRU is a better choice for more stuff. Target is kind of limited.

Re: Target vs. BRU: Registry

I registered at Target first (online) and then walked through the store to really find nothing. So I compared all the things I registered at Target for to the BRU store and found so much more at BRU. I wound up switching my registry to BRU because of the selection.

Re: Target vs. BRU: Registry

Is BBB better than BRU to register at?
