Tattoo related
Always wanted one and once my SIL is done with her Chemo treatments for Breast cancer I promised I would get one with her.
Where is the least painful place to get one? I want one down by my ankle but I've heard some people say that's the worst place to get one due to the pain.

In my experience, the fleshier the location, the less pain you may experience. I have one on my ankle, hip, lower back and between my shoulder blades. Hip was a breeze. Lower back was a horror.

I have one on my ankle and it didn't hurt at all. I really think it's all about your tolerance for pain. It just feels like a scratching - at least it did for me.
ETA: I've heard the top of your foot is the worst location - very thin skin and all bones!

Leslie's right, the more flesh, the better.
I have one on my hip (well, just inside the hip bone), lower back, and ankle. The hip hurt the least and I'd say the back was the worst. My ankle was the most recent (done 5 years ago) it wasn't that bad.
Overall I didn't think any of the locations I mentioned were that bad.
I have hurd the top of the foot hurts a lot.

I don't know the best place but I can definitely vouch for the lower back being horribly painful. I just got my 1st less than a week ago and not only do I not know how I survived the pain but I will definitely not being getting anymore.

I have some on my lower back and one on my foot, and I didn't find them to be painful at all.

I have one on my lower back and didn't think it hurt at all. I think it depends on the person and your personal pain tolerance.
