Tax question
The house we are buying has a cement front porch and the steps have settled and will eventually need to be redone. If we are redoing them I would rather put in a wood porch/steps. Would something like this increase property taxes? We're not really adding, just redoing.

Re: Tax question
I don't think replacing the steps with wood would increase your taxes, only if you go bigger

Re: Tax question
I think so.
My mom was telling me about our neighbor who has a cement patio with an overhang. He gets charge a room for that

Re: Tax question
I would check with your local township. I know in some towns you would be taxes for a wood deck, but not for a cement patio. Go figure!
