TCP clothes: What's the difference between 4T and 4 in big kids?

Just wondering, I was looking online to pick up some shorts for next summer and didn't know if they were the same or not.

I was told the difference is that a size 4T allows room for a diaper whereas a size 4 does not. I'm not sure if this is the only reason. HTH.

Not sure about TCP but I believe 4s are bigger. Also may have zippers, etc that are normally not needed for potty training.

Right now Maddie is in 4Ts or 4-5year old size.

DS1 is on the line between 5T and kids size 5, and I find that the kids size 5 is bigger. The jeans I've bought that are size 5 are generally longer than the 5Ts he has.

I bought 4 shorts for Andrew for this past summer and they were HUGE on him. They were long and big in the waist. I actually went back and got 4T's and they fit him great. To me, there was a huge difference. He's long out of diapers, and I think they were just so big!
