TDA and TRA -NYC Teachers?
Please help me..it took me 3 years but I am ready to up grade my TRA and enroll in TDA. I have no clue. Variable A or B... how much in each... help!

I have it all in A b/c you can change it as you get closer to retirement age. Right now, it's LOW but that will supposedly pay off big time in the future.

At 25, I don't think 50% in variable A is a good choice. You are young, yes variable A is risky, but you have about 25 years left in the system. You can switch over to variable B once you get closer to retirement age. I started at age 23, with 90% in variable A, and 10% in B.
