Tea Room in NYC
OKay, my mom and sisters and I are going for a girl's weekend in the city for Christmas. We want to go for high tea somewhere... it's been so long since we've done that. Any recommendations for a place? I know about the Plaza and it's divine, but something a little cheaper would be preferable!
Manhattan only please...

Thank you! I knew there was one in Chelsea, but I couldnt' remember the name!
there is also one in Gramercy, but i forget the name of that one too...

In Gramercy it's the Inn at Irving Place. One word - AMAZING!!! You need to make a reservation. It's a 5 course tea with salad, scones, tea sandwiches, cake and cookies. SO YUMMY!!!! They are part of my company's brand, small luxury hotels of the world. =)

I went to an afternoon tea shower at Sarabeths on Central Park South. It was very good.

I love Sarabeth's! I went to Alice's Tea Cup, it was cute but I like Sarabeth's better. Alice's chocolate cake was really dry and the cookies weren't that great either. Sarabeth's has the best preserves!! (Marshalls sometimes has them for half the price!)
