TEACH

I am trying to update my profile on TEACH Online because I need to apply for my Profession certif. Under the dates for Employment Information, they do not give you an opportunity to say that you currently hold the position. Am I doing something wrong? I've had the same position since 2007 so the "from" date is no problem, but what about the "to" date??

You need to put in the current date as your end date. I just renewed mine and did that. When you submit your application, be sure to click on the BOCES option and not the state Ed one. It tool state Ed forever to evaluate mine. I had to call last week to expedite the situation.

There was no option for the BOCES one. I would have picked the BOCES one but it only had the State option...even though it said something like "choose if you would like BOCES to review your application." My current certif doesn't expire till August 31 so I have some time.

Just be sure to be on top of them (especially if you need to send in additional documentation). Mine is up on August 31st as well and I read on their site that it can take up to 6 months for them to review your request. It took like 2.5 months for mine and the only reason it got pushed along was because I called.
